Immunological evaluation of IL-10 concentration level in sera of digestive disorders patients infected with Blastocystis hominis infection in Al-Najaf city

Objectives: To evaluating the concentration level of IL-10 in serum patients suffering from digestive disorders Blastocystis parasitic infection and compared with control group by using ELISA. Methadology: Case-control study design was conducted on 70 (33 males 37 females) at Al-Sadr medical city Al-Hakim General Hospital Al-Sajad Hospital. A participitant (29 41 who were without any history disease included. Their ages ranged between (6 - ≥ 60) years, during period beginning November 2021 to end February 2022. Results: The results showed (48.6%) culture positive for B.hominis. immunoassay mean difference ± standard error (5.878 10.462 Pg/ml) a 95% confidence interval (14.809-26.565) intestinal disorder significant (P˂0.001). Conclusion: Interleukin-10 levels have effect Blastocystosis disorders.
